Information Security Officer

We are looking for a fast learning, motivated and experienced security professional to join our fast growing and dynamic team as an Information Security Officer.

The Information Security Officer has ultimate responsibility for maintaining and enhancing our security posture in collaboration with all business units.

Bancstac partners with banks and enables bank customers to accept digital payments from a wide range of payment methods including global rail schemes, alternative forms of payments, closed payment systems, and real-time settlement systems. As the bank’s payment technology layer, Bancstac facilitates secure e-commerce transactions and seamlessly integrates with bank legacy systems, becoming an integral part of bank payment infrastructure.

Our technology team is distributed across three different time zones in our wholly-owned subsidiary entities, Paycorp International (Sri Lanka), Numo Labs (Bosnia) and Numo Labs (Australia). Information security is of primary importance and forms the core of all our solutions.

  • Are comfortable reviewing security bulletins and scheduling work appropriately;

  • Have a good understanding of DevOps best practices;

  • Are comfortable ensuring that no internal breaches or misuse of data has taken place;

  • Analyzing IT security threats in real-time and mitigating these threats;

  • Can provide security leadership and guidance to software engineers to develop secure solutions;

  • Are comfortable representing your organization and leading external audits;

  • Are details oriented, organized & happy to work independently;

  • Love challenging problems;

  • Have great communication skills. Being a distributed team, much of our communications are over written channels. You should be comfortable communicating & articulating your ideas in written form;

// Core competencies that will allow you to succeed in this role:

  • Understanding of PCI DSS Level 1 certification requirements;

  • Have successfully completed a full PCI DSS Level 1 audit and ongoing compliance;

  • A team player with a can-do attitude and experience in building trusted & valued relationships with project team members, customers & partners

  • Experience with Cloud computing/Elastic computing across virtualized environments;

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and high level of personal integrity;

  • Operating System: Linux, MacOS, Windows;

  • Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills;

  • Strong communication and documentation skills.

  • Fluency in English.

// You may have experience with:

  • Knowledge of common information security management frameworks, such as ISO/IEC 27001, and NIST;

  • Scripting/Programming Languages: Bash, Python, Ruby etc.

  • Version Control Systems: Git, Jira;

  • Databases: MySQL;

  • Containerizing & Clustering: Docker and container orchestration;

  • CI/CD Implementation: Jenkins;

  • Networking and Security (physical and virtual) AWS VPC, Cisco, Juniper, DNS, Firewalls, VPN;

  • Exposure to design APIs. RESTful services;

  • Solving time-critical issues that require collaboration and input from multiple teams.
